I’m Dale Coffman. I started this company in 2009 on one rule I’ve never once bent: the flat price is signed before a wheel turns — no charge creeping up after a tight Earlington stairwell, no bump because a farmhouse door came up narrow.
I came up in the coal-country hills between Manitou and Earlington, hauling hay and helping neighbors shift furniture all over Hopkins County. For years I ran a route truck and loaded vans for a Madisonville outfit before I painted my own name on the side of one.
What we run
- Our own trucks — every rig comes back to the Island Ford Rd lot at night, gets swept out, restocked with clean pads, and slotted onto the next day’s board.
- About 13 uniformed movers — all W-2, background-checked, none of them day labor pulled off a corner.
- One crew per local job, load-in to load-out — your move is never handed to a stranger halfway down I-69.
- Fully credentialed — a Kentucky household-goods mover certificate covers our in-state work, with our own US DOT and MC authority for interstate runs; bonded and insured.
The people behind the desk
- Gail Thurman holds down the office — quoting jobs, cutting a certificate of insurance the moment a landlord needs one, and keeping our Kentucky household-goods filings in order.
- Rodney Ashby works dispatch, setting the daily truck board across Hopkins County and the Pennyrile Parkway corridor.
- Travis Wells is my lead crew chief — gun safes, upright pianos, farmhouse antiques, and the long stair carries.
- Cody Blanton leads the long hauls out on I-69 and the Western Kentucky Parkway.
- Jarrett Sims owns the downtown Madisonville apartment and second-floor walk-up work.
What it costs
Local work is billed by the clock — two movers and a truck run $128 an hour, and putting a third mover on the job makes it $178. Pads, dollies, shrink-wrap and wardrobe boxes ride along at no extra line, and the meter starts from a one-hour floor. The moment a load crosses a state line, that rate turns into a written flat total, signed at the Manitou desk before the first box goes up.
